Co-designing a universal breathlessness offer

Breathlessness is one of the most common and distressing symptoms experienced by patients, affecting around one in 10 adults, rising to one in four people over 70 years of age.

The impact extends beyond diagnosis with severity of breathlessness strongly associated with reduced functional ability and poorer survival. Recognising its burden, the Welsh Government has identified Breathlessness Hubs as a priority for 2025/26.

This webinar covers:

  • Why a breathlessness intervention was needed
  • How this fits with a more person-centred model of rehabilitation
  • How we used a behaviour science informed approach
  • How we co-designed it
  • How we will know if it works
  • What it looks like
  • What next
