Quality and Safety Programme

The Quality and Safety programme was established to drive forward the national actions set out in the Quality and Safety Framework published by Welsh Government in 2021.

The overall aim of the Programme is in line with the aims of A Healthier Wales and the Duty of Quality - to improve the quality of services in NHS Wales and outcomes for the Welsh population.

The Programme supported this aim by creating a visibly joined up programme of work with our partners to deliver the actions within the Quality and Safety Framework. The Programme also led the coordination of the implementation phase of the Duty of Quality within  NHS Wales.

The Programme came to an end on 30 April 2024.
