One Voice Wales

Formed in 2004, One Voice Wales is the principal organisation for community and town councils in Wales.

It provides a strong voice representing the councils' interests and a range of high-quality services to support their work.

To aid councils in the development of robust initiatives to install public access defibrillators and offer CPR training, One Voice Wales has developed a working partnership with Save A Life Cymru.

As the national organization tasked with improving survival rates from a cardiac arrest, Save a Life Cymru provides research-based information and local support in relation to:

  • Public access defibrillators and their placement in the community
  • The different types of defibrillators and cabinets available
  • The long-term cost associated with supporting a community defibrillator
  • Registering a defibrillator on the National Defibrillator Network (link to the circuit)
  • How to purchase new pads and batteries
  • Locating a lost defibrillator following use
  • Vandalised cabinets.
