Faecal immunochemical testing (FIT) in patients with signs or symptoms of suspected colorectal cancer (CRC): a joint guideline from the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) and the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG).

The NEP National Framework for the Implementation of FIT in the Symptomatic Service produced in 2021 differentiated between NG12 and DG30 patient groups at that time.  The NEP aligns with the above guidance that supports a pathway for all patients with symptoms of a colorectal cancer diagnosis.  As a workstream, we plan to update the NEP framework to reflect this in the near future.

A virtual event was held on 27 April 2022 for healthcare professionals across Wales in primary and secondary care to discuss symptomatic FIT in the Lower Gastro-Intestinal Pathway - click the link below to access the event recordings.
