Now in its seventeenth year, the NHS Wales Awards shine a spotlight on the incredible quality improvement work transforming health and care across Wales. Whether you're a clinician, a student, or part of a non-clinical team, this is your opportunity to be recognised.

The 2025 awards feature 12 categories to choose from, aligned with the Duty of Quality and the Health and Care Quality Standards 2023.

  3. NHS Wales Effective Care Award
  4. NHS Wales Efficient Care Award
  5. NHS Wales Equitable Care Award
  6. NHS Wales Person-Centred Care Award
  7. NHS Wales Leadership Award
  8. NHS Wales Workforce Sustainability Award
  9. NHS Wales Team Culture Award
  10. NHS Wales Information Award
  11. NHS Wales Learning & Research Award
  12. NHS Wales Whole Systems Approach Award

Plus: the Outstanding Contribution to Healthcare Improvement Award will be chosen from the 12 category winners.

At the heart of every improvement is the patient, and by sharing your stories, you can inspire others, ensuring that learning spreads beyond local projects to benefit people accessing services across Wales.”


How to enter?

  1. Read the Entry Guide carefully to find all the key information you need before entering.
  2. Head to the online awards platform to submit your entry. Remember to seek appropriate authorisation from your Executive Director before submitting.

Entries close 5:00pm, Friday 6 June and finalists will be announced in July.
