National Quality Management Systems Programme

Our national Quality Management Systems (QMS) programme is supporting organisations across NHS Wales to understand QMS and to implement it effectively, as required by the Duty of Quality.

Built on our Developing a Quality Management System methodology and guidance, the programme is being delivered in partnership with Q, a community collaboratively accelerating the improvement of health and care, and Quality Improvement Clinic (QIC), providing access to international expertise and insight.

The programme comprises six interrelated workstreams with a focus on generating insight and learning about establishing QMS in NHS Wales, developing understanding of QMS among key colleagues, and delivery of QMS.
